Salvation Army Update

Posted in: Announcements
The Sunnyvale Corps of the Salvation Army would like to thank the Bridges family for their overwhelming support this holiday season. We were below last year’s Kettle Bell donation totals every day until Christmas Eve, then a miracle took place as we received over $11,000 to make us 1 of 3 corps who exceeded last year’s giving. There are 27 corps in the Golden State Division and we finished second place in total revenue received. In addition, Bridges contributed 90 gift cards that were given to needy families and seniors.
Bridges also adopted 10 families who received gifts and a complete Christmas dinner. We want to thank the women who gave many hours of their time to shopping, wrapping, and distributing the gifts for the families who were adopted.
Our special thanks goes to the pastoral staff and Elder Board for making the Salvation Army the focus of this year’s Christmas campaign. Our goal is to help people, and the people of Bridges made that possible. The officers and workers at the corps add their great gratitude to our church and to the Lord. To God be all the praise and glory!
