“Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”     – Ephesians 5:19-20

Welcome!

Here at Bridges Community Church, a dynamic Worship and Music Ministry provides numerous opportunities to serve our Lord! Choir, Orchestra, small vocal and instrumental ensembles, Children’s Music, and Technical Ministries combine to form an active ministry dedicated to proclaiming God’s Word and exalting the name of Christ with excellence in this community and throughout the world.

We are always delighted to welcome individuals of all ages to the teamwork, growth and fellowship of the Worship and Music Ministry. You are invited to participate with us in the greatest privilege of all — leading those who attend our services in worshipping our great and glorious God!

For more information, call the BCC office or e-mail laura@bridges.church.

Here are some ways to get involved with our Music and Worship Ministries:

Worship Service

Instrumental and Vocal Worship

Both instrumental and vocal musicians make up the team that leads worship in our Sunday morning service. If your gifts and talents fall into one or both of those areas, we’d love to have you join us as we lead those who attend the service to connect with God and with the truth of who He is and what it means to walk with Him. Please contact nate@bridges.church if you are interested.

Orchestra

Instrumental praise is an important part of the congregational worship at Bridges Community Church. Currently, small groups from the orchestra play a few times a month, sharing regularly in leading worship as well as in other special events and services. They rehearse at 9:00AM on Sundays prior to our worship service. Various other rehearsals may be scheduled for special events. Anyone who plays at an intermediate level of proficiency on their instrument is invited to participate. Please contact laura@bridges.church if you are interested.

Other Small Ensembles

Several other vocal and instrumental ensembles are utilized throughout the year to enrich the congregation’s worship experience in our worship service. These groups help lead portions of our service and are a meaningful part of helping our community connect with God. We would love to have you be a part of one if you are interested!

Technical Ministries

Utilizing well equipped audio, video, recording and lighting facilities, the Technical Ministries team provides the vital “behind-the-scenes” support for regular worship services and church-wide productions. From live in-house operation of equipment to video and audio taping of services and productions to recording of services for national radio broadcast to outreach events beyond the walls of the church, this team has a critical role in making sure that the good news of Jesus Christ is always clearly seen and heard. Training opportunities are available in live audio, multimedia, recording, video and lighting.

For more information on Technical Ministries, please contact Jason Garvey (jason@bridges.church).

Children’s Choir

Worship and the knowledge of music are vital parts of a child’s spiritual growth. A fully graded Children’s Choir program (grades 1-8) meets Sundays evenings throughout the school year with an excellent staff of qualified leaders committed to teaching children spiritual concepts while experiencing and learning music. In addition to singing for two Sunday worship services, the various Children’s Choirs team up each year to present two musicals — one at Christmas and one in the spring.

Children’s Choirs run September through May with rehearsals on Sunday evenings.

  • God’s Kids (Grades 1-3) — Directed by Linda Tong
  • Kids of the Kingdom (Grades 3-8) — Directed by Leslie Schneider

For more information about your child’s participation, or the possibility of providing adult leadership, please contact Leslie Schneider (les@bridges.church), Director of Children’s Music.
