All families are invited to meet us at a different local park every Wednesday at 10:00AM between now and July 14. Bring your kids (all ages are welcome!), and come ready for a time of encouragement for you while your child has fun playing, enjoying a small thematic snack, and learning 5 important truths about God. Look for the tall Bridges signs near the main playground!
June 16 – McKenzie Park (707 Fremont Ave, Los Altos)
June 23 – BCC Playground (625 Magdalena Ave, Los Altos)
June 30 – Shoup Park (400 University Ave, Los Altos)
July 7 – De Anza Park (1150 Lime Dr, Sunnyvale)
July 14 – Serra Park (730 The Dalles Ave, Sunnyvale)
Join us every Sunday for one elementary Sunday School class for Kindergarten through 5th grade! Each week, we learn about God through the Bible and connect with one another as part of the community of God’s family.
Here’s how the morning goes:
Students should check in with their parents in front of the Worship Center before the service begins on Sundays at 11:00AM, where you will pick up your name tag. Then, please join us for the worship music portion of the service either inside the Worship Center or outside at the patio live broadcast! After that, students will be invited to walk with our Children’s Ministry leaders to the large playground and picnic tables at the back of our campus on the far side of the back parking lot. (Parents, you’re welcome to join for as long as you want!)
The majority of our elementary Sunday School time will be held outdoors. If weather should cause us to meet indoors, we will gather in the front classroom in the preschool Fourplex, Room 413 (look for the sign!).
All kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade must wear a mask at all times. Please stay home if you’re experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, difficulty breathing, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or recent loss of taste or smell).
Preschool is offered by pre-registration. To request a spot, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that the majority of the Family Ministries Team and our volunteers are vaccinated. We are also doing extra cleaning and sanitizing throughout the Fourplex, and we do not share pens or other supplies.
Every week, we post a short Sunday School slideshow that includes a video of each week’s part of the Big God Story curriculum that we cover in person. Please join us for this week’s slideshow on THIS PAGE!
What would it look like to give our kids and students a compelling faith? What if we challenged our kids and students to know something more than just a long list of people and places? What if our kids and students regularly encountered God? What if our kids and students learned to hear God’s voice and respond? What if our kids and students brought the kingdom of God here? How would they be changed? How would we be changed?
BCC Family Ministries desires to see these questions answered. Our goal is to grow spiritually healthy families. We would like to foster a new generation that has an active relationship with God and who are looking for ways to bring the kingdom of God here.
We believe that to grow spiritually healthy families, parents must be equipped to be the primary nurturers of their kid’s faith (Deuteronomy 6), that the faith community needs to play a supportive role in this endeavor (Ephesians 4), and that we must remain dependent on the Holy Spirit to bring about spiritual growth and formation when and as he chooses (Philippians 2:13).
We use an engaging web-based curriculum called “Tru” by David C. Cook to show them that the Bible and even our lives today are united in one story – the Big God Story.
