Email: Steve@bridges.church

Steve became the Pastor of Family Ministries and Teaching Pastor at BCC in October 2010, and transitioned into the role of Pastor of Compassion Ministries in 2021. He has been married for over 20 years to his wife, Shannon, and they are the proud parents of three young adult children. Steve is originally from Houston, Texas, but most recently lived for twelve years in Waco, Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University and his Masters of Arts in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to coming to BCC, Steve served as a Pastor of Youth & Music at a church in East Texas, as the Executive Director of a grassroots nonprofit organization devoted to motivating and training men to become more involved in their children’s lives, and as the Director of Fatherhood Programming for a pregnancy resource center. He and Shannon are also trained marriage educators and have frequently spoken together at marriage conferences and seminars.

Steve’s primary passion and desire is to be an involved, committed, and responsible husband and father. His goal is to equip and support parents to be the primary spiritual leaders in their children’s lives and to help families of all shapes and sizes to move through their faith journey together. In his spare time, Steve also loves to travel and learn about new cultures, to play piano, and to watch and discuss movies with friends.
