Rene Gonzalez

Director of Middle School Ministries

Rene was born in Guatemala, raised in Texas, came to BCC in December of 2011, via Austin, Texas. He's been married for 3 years to his wife Ginny, whom he met while both serving as missionaries in Guatemala. Rene has been involved in youth ministries for over 14 years, 8 serving at an international church with a very eclectic youth of North-American, European, Hispanic, Latino and Asian backgrounds.

One of Rene’s passions is to see teens come to understand the heart of God for the first time. He loves seeing them understand that God has placed an immense potential in them. He loves to see teens take an active part in Church life.

Aside from his love for Jesus, his wife Ginny, and teenagers; Rene loves sports (volleyball & mountain biking) and just about anything that takes place outside and involves not sitting at a desk. But if the weather doesn't suit, he also enjoys a cup coffee and a good conversation with friends, whether at a restaurant, coffee shop or at home.
