What do you do for fun? I love being outside! Hiking and biking the trails and climbing the rocks!
What is your favorite food? Pizza
What is your personal testimony? I became a Christian in 7th grade. Even though I grew up in the church and have amazing parents that taught me about Christ throughout my childhood, it wasn’t until then that I was able to understand who my Savior is and how great his love is for me. Jesus has been active in my life by clearly leading me to where I can be used to serve Him, including bringing me to BCC.
How has God led you to be a part of the youth ministry at BCC? Tara and I started serving in the youth ministry soon after coming to BCC. We were introduced to Ryan Shull and had the opportunity to meet some of the high schoolers. We knew that the Lord wanted to use us in the ministry when we saw how fun, intelligent, and kind the students at BCC are. Building relationships with the students has been a blessing for me and has helped me grow in my relationship with God.
How many years have you been a leader with the youth ministry? 4 years
Birthday: September 1
What do you do for fun? I enjoy being active outdoors, exploring new places, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
What is your favorite food? I don’t have a favorite. I like pretty much everything.
What is your personal testimony? I grew up Catholic, but my faith started to become my own in college when I started attending church/the Catholic Center on campus because my floormates were going. What started as wanting to spend more time with friends turned into God, Jesus, and my faith being at the center of my life and subsequently seeing God’s plans unfold for me that are more beautiful and perfect than any plans I could have ever made.
How has God led you to be a part of the youth ministry at BCC? My one regret is that I wish that I had had God, Jesus, and my faith at the center of my life earlier than my freshman year of college! I am excited to walk alongside each young person’s unique faith journey to guide him/her as they seek to grow closer to God and Jesus and to make faith the center of his/her life.
How many years have you been a leader with the youth ministry? I’m new! 🙂

What do you do for fun? – Spend time with my wife Jessica and our four boys (Noah 9, Toby 5, Asa 4, Ezra 2). I love to lift weights, playing golf, softball, listening to and playing music along with singing.
What is your favorite food? Right now my season is anything at a taqueria.
What is your personal testimony? I grew up in a Christian home. My parents divorced but God was evident in my life. I grew very close in my walk during my middle school years then towards the end of high school again. God has shown up in so many ways earlier in my life and continues to reveal himself in my adult life as a husband and father.
How has God led you to be a part of the youth ministry at BCC? I had a notion I would be asked to help with MSM before Renee left. God prepared my heart specifically for MSM a year and half ago.
How many years have you been a leader with the youth ministry? This is my first venture into official student ministry. My past ministries consisted primarily in worship leading at 4 different churches of various sizes.
Birthday: November 4
What do you do for fun? I love playing basketball, volleyball, baseball, and spikeball and I love watching sports, especially the SF Giants and their minor league team, the SJ Giants.
What is your favorite food? Burritos (with Chipotle at the top of the list)
What is your personal testimony? I grew up in a Christian home and the gospel has always been a part of my life. I struggled with the fact that my faith wasn’t really my own faith, but was more “my parents’ faith.” This changed for me in middle school when I made the decision to stand up in front of our church and be baptized. I was baptized on March 23, 2010. During my freshman year of high school I decided I wanted to go “all-in,” which meant that I was ready to work harder at living out my faith and trying to trust God more and more.
How has God led you to be a part of the youth ministry at BCC? Over the years, I’ve always been encouraged to use my leadership abilities and I love working with kids, especially leading games. I am really excited to get to know this current group of middle schoolers more and help them grow in their personal walks with Christ.
How many years have you been a leader with the youth ministry? Around 5 years
Birthday: March 27
What do you do for fun? Read, run, cook, ballroom dance
What is your favorite food? Smoothies, ramen, In n Out animal style fries
What is your personal testimony? I was born and raised in a church this area. The church was filled with kids like me, but it was a very competitive, uncomfortable environment. I did not particularly enjoy it, but when I was around 13, I went to a conference where Jaeson Ma was the speaker. It deeply resonated with me his message that we were all imperfect. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us. (1 John 4:12) He also spoke about grace (2 Corinthians 12:9-10-one of my favorite verses!). It was then that I decided that I would accept Jesus not because I was worthy, but because I was so unworthy, and God was ok with that. God loved me the way I am, not the perfect church kid that everyone else seemed to be.
How has God led you to be a part of the youth ministry at BCC? I want to be a mentor, a cheerleader for people, since I feel that I did not have one growing up. My day job is a teacher, and I love working with teenagers!!

Birthday: June 13
What do you do for fun? Go outside!
What is your favorite food? Fried Chicken
What is your personal testimony? I was born into a church going family, but really found my faith in College as part of the college Bible study I was a part of. God has shown his faithfulness time and time again through the many blessings of my life. Being mentored in College by a campus pastor, I really began to see the love of Jesus, and what His sacrifice meant. I also found that seeking God’s plan is much better and easier than running from it!
How has God led you to be a part of the youth ministry at BCC? I started getting involved with youth by leading trips for incoming Georgia Tech freshmen for a secular organization. I really felt called to mentoring recently graduated high school seniors. The summer before I moved to California, I chaperoned a high school youth trip with my church in Alpharetta, and fell in love with Youth Ministry. I knew it was something I wanted to continue!
