Chuck Buffum

Chuck Buffum is a native of Southern California, but has called Silicon Valley his home since 1986. He received a BS in Mathematics from Loyola University and has spent his entire career in high technology. He currently works for Nuance Communications as the Vice President of Caller Authentication Solutions. Chuck met his bride, Carol, in high school, and they married after graduating college in 1976. They have 4 children: Josh (30), Michelle (28), Zack (25), and Jessica (22). It was the birth of Josh that stirred Chuck's heart to search for the Lord, leading to his proclamation of faith in October 1979. Chuck and Carol joined BBC in 1987, where he has served as a Deacon; a Life Group coordinator; a Life Group teacher; and has been serving as a cook at the high school Survival Camp for 13 years. He enjoys playing golf when the opportunity presents itself.
