Elementary
It is our desire to help 1st-5th grade kids to develop into fully committed Christ-followers, growing in their love for God, each other, and the world.
One key way we accomplish this is by working closely with parents in order to equip them to be the primary spiritual teachers of their kids. We also work hard to create a safe, kid-friendly environment that is both educational and entertaining.
We provide age-graded Bible study classes for kids that are led by dedicated and trained adults and volunteers. Through active learning, worship, small groups, and family service projects, our hope is that elementary-aged kids can apply biblical truths to their lives and learn about the great love God offers to them.

Sunday Morning
9:00 a.m. – Bible Study
Age-appropriate Bible lessons are designed to encourage faith development beyond Sunday by using interactive teaching tools to engage and captivate students’ minds and hearts.
Grades 1 & 2: Room 616 (Burkhart)
Grades 3 & 4: Room 617 (Burkhart)
Grade 5: Room 623 (Burkhart)
10:45 a.m. - Children's Church
Grades 1-3: Room 620 (Burkhart)
Grades 4 & 5: Chapel
This is a time for kids to build community with leaders and friends, experience a powerful time of worship, learn about God’s Word through drama, videos, teaching, and other attention-getting methods, and build relationships with others through discussions, small-group activities, and prayer.
We use 252 Basics, a web-based curriculum that is built around Three Basic Truths: Wisdom (I need to make the wise choice), Faith (I can trust God no matter what), and Friendship (I should treat others the way I want to be treated). These Three Truths are integrated into monthly core virtues that were modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52. Kids experience an interactive Bible story, worship, and prayer in the large group gathering, but they also spend time with small group leaders to help reinforce each week’s lesson.
During the 2011 Spring semester, we will be providing a ministry specifically tailored for preteens (4th-6th grade) beginning at 10:45 a.m. Preteens will have the opportunity to participate in corporate worship with the youth group and adults during the Modern Service. The preteens will then be dismissed to the chapel where they will experience engaging Bible lessons and small group discussion regarding topics that will help prepare students for adolescence and the middle school years.
